The INTERSCAN Reederei GmbH was founded 1973.

The originally Deutsche Conti Schiffahrtsgesellschaft, founded 1968 has been taken over in 1992 by
Wilhelm Mahnke and was then renamed into INTERSCAN Schiffahrtsgesellschaft mbH.

The company is engaged with chartering of container and multipurpose ships as well with the carriage of forest products and all usual dry cargo within Europe.

Moreover the company is managing 13 vessels and four newbuildings of closely related companies.

Three 11.800 TDW and three 8.600 TDW celled gearless container ships, as well as one 6.300 TDW multipurpose dry cargo vessel equipped with cranes are employed worldwide.

All vessels upto 3.500 TDW are trading in the north european area whereof one vessel is equipped with a sidelift for paper transport.

Moreover INTERSCAN Schiffahrtsges. mbH is the exclusive broker of tonnage with other ownership.

The vessels are running Gibraltar, Cyprus and Antigua flag.

Additionally all vessels are ISM / ISPS certified.
